Tarheel Mobile Veterinary Services was founded in February 2012 by Dr. Leslie Sparks. Tarheel Mobile Veterinary Services is an ambulatory practice providing large animal veterinary services to western North Carolina and Virginia. We currently serve clients in Alleghany, Ashe, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yadkin counties in North Carolina and Carroll and Grayson counties in Virginia. We are happy to travel to other counties for new clients! Our mission is to provide compassionate, reliable, quality service to our clients and advanced, progressive veterinary care to our patients. We strive to provide quality services to help our clients improve efficiency and increase profits. Our services include preventative herd health programs, reproductive services, diagnosis and treatment for sick animals, field surgery, and 24 hour emergency services. We treat cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, alpacas, and companion farm animals.
In November 2013 we partnered with ABS Global. Yancy Sparks is an independent representative serving dairy and beef producers in North Carolina and southwest Virginia. This partnership has allowed us to expand our bovine reproductive services and provide everything our clients need to get cows bred! We now offer udder care products, artificial insemination supplies, liquid nitrogen tank fills, semen sales, and breeding services in addition to complete turn-key breeding projects.
